Business is the cornerstone of our local economy. CORE's Business Partnership Network (BPN) is joined by some of the largest employers in the region, some of the most technologically advanced and some that are driven by an aging demographic which provide personal/health services.
In order for schools to best prepare students for the future, we must be creative with course offerings, ensuring they are in alignment with industry needs. This requires partnership among business, higher ed and local districts.
Case Study: Unadilla Valley College and Career Day
Through the BPN, CORE is able to tap into the needs of local employers and bring those needs into K-12 training as well as adult retraining. We offer technology, grant writing and entrepreneurial courses for individuals annually and when warranted we have offered certificate preparation/training courses.
